University of Cyberjaya’s Faculty of Nursing envisions to prepare qualified nurses who are Competent, Confident, Compassionate, and Caring, ready to enter the job market to meet the needs of individuals and communities in health care and home care settings.
The faculty is committed to providing a high-quality conducive learning environment which promotes clinical training with the integration of innovative and critical thinking skills at each phase of the student's education. Classroom teaching follows relevant industry standards of nursing skills in well-equipped mock wards and clinical practice attachment at approved government hospitals to meet the requirements of the Nursing Board of Malaysia.
Prof. Dr. Santhna Letchmi Panduragan holds a Phd in Community Education and Development from University Putra Malaysia, Masters from Monash university, South Australia and Bachelors from Flinders University, South Australia. A nurse by profession, started her career with Ministry of Health and later joined University Kebangsaan Malaysia and had been working with University Kebangsaan Malaysia for 23 years as a senior lecturer and Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing. In University Kebangsaan Malaysia, she was also much involved in the Personal and Professional Development Camp for Medical students. She was also appointed as a research supervisor for both the Nursing and Medical students.
She is also a member of the advisory Board for UOW and an advisor for the Masters in Orthopedic program for IUUM in Kuantan. She was also an editor for the Japanese Journal of Nursing and the Surgical Academia Journal.
She joined the Nursing Faculty, Lincoln University college in 2016 as a senior lecturer and Associate Professor and was later promoted to Dean and Professor in 2020. She has presented various papers locally and internationally and at present has about 45 publications in local and international journals. She has also published a book on “Essential Guidelines for Nurses”. She has a great passion for nursing and is hoping to bring it to its heights nationally and globally.
