The University has been offering Psychology programmes since 2013 and established the Faculty of Psychology and Social Sciences in 2022. The Faculty currently carries Psychology programmes at all levels, including a Diploma, an undergraduate as well as a postgraduate-taught programme. The University’s Foundation in Allied Science is specifically tailored to shape students to progress directly to the undergraduate Psychology programme.

Dr. Crendy Tan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Social Sciences, University of Cyberjaya. She holds a PhD in Child Development Psychology from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling, and a Bachelor of Psychology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. With over 15 years of experience in academia, counselling, and higher education leadership, she brings a comprehensive blend of scholarly expertise and administrative capability.
An active researcher, Dr. Crendy has published in Scopus-indexed journals on child development, digital wellbeing, parenting, and psychological health. She also serves as a reviewer for international journals and supervises postgraduate research across diverse psychological fields.
Dr. Crendy has held several leadership roles, including Dean, Deputy Dean, and Head of Department in the higher education sector. Her leadership experience spans programme development, academic quality enhancement, research culture building, and staff development—contributing significantly to organisational growth and excellence.
In addition to her academic engagements, Dr. Crendy is a sought-after trainer and speaker, conducting workshops on emotional intelligence, mental health support, parenting, and communication skills for government agencies, corporates, schools, and NGOs. She is also frequently invited to national media platforms to share her expertise on children’s psychological development and family well-being.
