About our clinic

At UoC Health & Psychology Clinic, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality psychological care. Our clinic was established with the goal of providing affordable and accessible mental health services to the community.

Our team consists of professionals from clinical psychology and counselling backgrounds, as well as Masters in Clinical Psychology (MCP) students. Our students work under the supervision of licensed professionals, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of care.

Meet the team

Our team members come from the esteemed Faculty of Psychology and Social Sciences (FPSS) at the University of Cyberjaya, and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and expertise in their respective fields such as Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology, and Counselling.


Associate Professor Dr. Anasuya Jegathevi Jegathesan
BMgmt (Hons), MBA (IT), MEd(G&C), DCouns.
Dr. Anasuya holds a Doctorate in Counselling and has worked at HELP University and Taylor’s University in leading various undergraduate and postgraduate psychology & counselling programmes. Dr. Anasuya received her Research Doctorate for Counseling Psychology from the University of South Australia in 2007 and has since been active in the academic line dedicated towards counselling and psychology.

After her stint as an Associate Professor at HELP University for almost a decade, Dr. Anasuya went on to become the Psychology Programme Director at Taylor’s University. In 2020, she became the Director for the Centre for Human Excellence and Development as well as the Programme Director for the University’s Master of Counselling Psychology. She is registered with the Board of Counsellors of Malaysia (KB01346, PA01302).

At UoC Health and Psychology Clinic, we provide effective and evidence-based therapies for various psychological disorders, including Bipolar and Related Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and more. Our personalized treatment plans use a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), etc to help clients reach their goals and improve their well-being.
Note:Note: The first five (5) sessions with our Clinical Psychologist Trainees are free for the public, while our Professional Clinical Psychologists charge according to standard rates The services will be free for UoC students and staff. A RM 50 registration fee is mandatory for all clients and services.
Therapy Session: Individual Psychotherapy (not less than 60 minutes and not more than 1 hour 45 minutes)

Assessment rates

Here are the rates of most requested assessment tools at UoC Health and Psychology Clinic

  • Intelligence quotient (IQ) assessment: RM 350
  • Dyslexia Screening: RM 200
  • Gilliam Autism Rating Scale: RM 50
  • Conners 3 (ADHD): RM 100

In addition to the assessment fees, we also offer brief and full psychological reports at the following rates:

  • Brief Psychological Report: RM 50 (trainee), RM 80 (clinical coordinator)
  • Full Psychological Report: RM150 (trainee), RM 300 (clinical coordinator)

I have registered. When will I get my appointment?
We will be contacting you via email. Please do check the registered email frequently for any updates from our clinical psychology trainee or clinical coordinator.
What are the charges for assessment and therapy?
For psychotherapy services provided by Clinical Psychologist Trainees, the first 5 sessions are free of charge. The subsequent sessions will be RM50 per session. Psychotherapy services by Professional Clinical Psychologist will be charged as per service rate. For assessment, the fee for the assessments varies depending on the situation. We will brief you during your session along with the assessment recommendation. The registration fee of RM 50 is COMPULSORY for all type of services and clients.
Is the session / clinic discrimination free? (LGBTQ, religions, sexual relationship issue, abuse, suicide etc.)

Aqrabin Shah

Aqrabin is a clinical psychologist who is deeply passionate about assisting individuals in reaching their maximum potential and conquering psychological obstacles. Over the course of his practice, he has refined his abilities in evaluating, diagnosing, and addressing mental health concerns. Aqrabin’s commitment to using evidence-based methods along with his interpersonal skills and empathetic approach enables him to help anyone effectively.

Reena Gunabalan

Reena is a clinical psychologist, graduated from the University of Cyberjaya. She is currently based in a private psychology centre in Kota Kinabalu. Since completing her practicum in Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah (HUMS), University of Cyberjaya Health & Psychology Clinic and Pusat Psikologi dan Rehabilitasi Atfal Jannah she's obtained a diverse clinical experience. In addition, Reena previously volunteered at mental health NGO's such as MIASA and HumanKind. Her professional experience includes assisting individuals dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, relationship struggles and other psychological disorders.

Specialization: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her therapy with adult and adolescent clients.
