SDGs covers a wide range of social, economic, and environmental issues to be addressed collectively by all sections of society. It is a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. Goals are interconnected, often the key to success on one goal will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another. Educational institutions play an essential role in imparting education in sustainability among children and youths to tackle social, economic, and environmental challenges in businesses and community

Sunway Healthcare Group, University of Cyberjaya, and Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu Launch Nursing Scholarship Programme to Strengthen Malaysia’s Healthcare Workforce
The Nursing Scholarship Programme, through a strategic collaboration between the University of Cyberjaya, Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu, and Sunway Healthcare Group, exemplifies a concerted effort to enhance Malaysia's healthcare workforce. This initiative offers full scholarships for diploma and degree nursing programmes, covering tuition fees, living allowances, and essential nursing kits. Additionally, recipients are guaranteed employment opportunities at Sunway Medical Centre, complete with benefits such as accommodation, transportation, and career advancement programs.

The Empowering the Elderly Through Nutrition and Wellness programme, organized by the University of Cyberjaya's Dietetics programme, exemplifies the university's commitment to delivering outreach initiatives that enhance health and well-being in the local community. This event focused on promoting healthy aging by providing elderly participants with essential information on nutrition, wellness, and self-care practices. Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, attendees were educated on maintaining a balanced diet, understanding the importance of physical activity, and adopting lifestyle habits that contribute to aging well. The programme also offered opportunities for students to engage in community service, fostering a collaborative environment where academic knowledge is applied to real-world health challenges.

3.3.3 Shared sports facilities 

The Zumba session organized during SDG Week 2024 at the University of Cyberjaya provided an excellent example of how the university promotes health and wellness while opening its sports facilities to the local community. The session, which attracted numerous participants, encouraged physical activity and celebrated the importance of an active lifestyle. This event, along with others like it, highlights the university’s commitment to making its sports facilities accessible for community engagement, including opportunities for local residents to take part in wellness activities. 

By hosting this Zumba event and similar initiatives, the university showcases its ongoing efforts to share its state-of-the-art sports facilities with the public.
