University of Cyberjaya (UoC) defines sustainability as a term that encompasses all aspects of ethical business practices by addressing relevant issues responsibly and profitably.

The University recognises the importance of sustainability and its increasing impact to our operations. We are committed to understanding and implementing sustainable practices and to exploring the benefits to the University whilst attempting to achieve the right balance between the needs of the wider community and our focus on delivering quality education to our students.

5.3 Student access measures

5.3.1 Tracking Access Measure  

 

University of Cyberjaya measures or tracks women's application rates and acceptance or entry rates plays a critical role in promoting gender equity within higher education. University provides mentoring support, scholarships and career advice in which female students have access and participate.  

University organized a special forum “Audacious Success Empowering Women, Empowering Men 

 

 

The University believes that there are substantial social and economic returns to society and a nation if its female populations’ education attainment is raised as it contributes to a more robust workforce, increased quality of life and higher Gross National Income (GNI).

 

5.3.2 Policy for women applications and entry

 

University of Cyberjaya has a policy addressing women's applications, admission, and participation at the university. The purpose of this policy is to increase the access, acceptance, and participation of women at University of Cyberjaya (UoC). This plan outlines our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where women can thrive academically and professionally.

5.3.3 Women’s access schemes

 

  1. In University of Cyberjaya, female students have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities as male students. They are supported through mentor-mentee program, have access to counselling services and career advice to assist them in graduating within appropriate time. Students are empowered to take up leadership roles and responsibilities through teaching-learning, clubs, and societies activities. University also conducts regular visits to girl’s schools to encourage female students to apply for programmes where they are underrepresented.
  2. University of Cyberjaya have mentoring system as a support mechanism for increasing the enrolment and retention of students, especially for female students in science-based disciplines and professions. University of Cyberjaya develop mechanisms for monitoring the performance and retention of students by gender.

 

5.3.4 - Women’s application in underrepresented subjects

 

In University of Cyberjaya, female students have equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities as male students. Our university encourages the application for female students in all the programs and courses. Our education counsellors are trained to educate the students in the programs and courses where female students underrepresented.
