University of Cyberjaya Advances Industry Engagement Through OSH Exposure & Networking Day

The University of Cyberjaya (UoC) recently hosted its OSH Industry Exposure & Networking Day, a campus-wide initiative aimed at enhancing awareness of occupational safety, health, and wellbeing while strengthening engagement between students and industry professionals. Organised in collaboration with SHELL’s Local Contractor Safety Club (LCSC), the programme was held in conjunction with World Safety Day month.

The event brought together students, staff, and industry practitioners for a day of knowledge sharing, practical learning, and networking. A key highlight was the series of expert-led sessions delivered by industry professionals, including University of Cyberjaya alumni. These speakers shared valuable insights into their roles within Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), as well as the challenges and expectations of the profession. Topics also explored emerging trends such as ESG integration, mental health in the workplace, and the use of artificial intelligence in safety practices.

In addition to the talks, participants engaged with a range of interactive exhibition booths featuring organisations such as Maxis, Vista Eye Specialist, Pusat Darah Negara, ZOLL, PERKESO, and Ice Space X. The booths offered hands-on experiences, including eye screenings, blood donation services, AED demonstrations, PPE awareness, and exposure to Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

The event also served as a valuable platform for students to connect directly with industry representatives and alumni, gaining insights into career pathways and professional expectations within the OSH field.

Overall, the programme successfully bridged academic learning with real-world application, reinforcing the University of Cyberjaya’s commitment to producing industry-ready graduates equipped with practical knowledge and professional insight in occupational safety and health.
