The University of Cyberjaya (UoC) is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of its distinguished alumni, Muhammad Fariz Haiqal Mohd Ruslan, who has been awarded the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship (BYDPA) 2025—one of the highest academic honours in Malaysia.

The official award ceremony was held at Istana Negara, where His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim graciously presented the scholarship to 13 recipients from institutions of higher learning across the country. The BYDPA is a prestigious national scholarship offered to Malaysian citizens pursuing postgraduate studies, either locally or abroad.

Muhammad Fariz Haiqal, a graduate of the University of Cyberjaya’s Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme (Class of 2021), will soon embark on his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology at King’s College London, United Kingdom. His selection reflects not only his academic excellence and leadership potential, but also the quality of education and training he received at UoC.

To date, only 225 Malaysians have received this honour across 20 award cycles, underscoring its prestige and competitiveness.
