The University of Cyberjaya proudly hosted a heartwarming celebration in honour of Nurses Day 2025, paying tribute to nurses' unwavering dedication and contributions—the true backbone of our healthcare system.
Held at the university's Grand Hall, the event began with a welcoming address by Professor Dr. David Whitford, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, who set the tone for a day filled with appreciation, reflection, and inspiration. A symbolic cake-cutting ceremony and a nostalgic montage highlighting the journey and milestones of the Faculty of Nursing added a personal and emotional touch to the programme.
We were honoured by the presence of several distinguished speakers who graciously shared their experiences and insights, further enriching the event. Their presence made the celebration all the more meaningful, and we extend our sincere thanks for their valuable contributions.
Adding vibrancy to the occasion was a series of lively and heartfelt performances by nursing students, which captured the spirit and passion of the next generation of healthcare providers. The event concluded with a closing address by Prof. Dr. Azrin Esmady Ariffin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, who reaffirmed the university's commitment to nurturing and supporting the nursing profession.
Guided by this year's theme, "Our Nurses, Our Future. Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies," the event served as a timely reminder of nurses' essential role in sustaining and advancing our healthcare system.
The University of Cyberjaya extends its gratitude to everyone who helped make this celebration a success—from our speakers and students to the organising team and supportive attendees.
