Nauru’s President Pays A Visit To CUCMS

Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) welcomed the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency, Mr. Baron Waqa and First Lady Louisa Waqa to the Cyberjaya Campus on 17th August 2016. The visit was set to discuss potential collaborations in terms of promoting education between CUCMS and the Republic of Nauru.

It was an honour for CUCMS to host the President and being able to discuss health related matters which is one of the important areas for the Republic of Nauru’s government. His Excellency’s was hosted by Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Palan, Pro-Chancellor of CUCMS, Major General (Rtd) Dato' Pahlawan Dr. R. Mohana Dass the Deputy Chairman of the university’s Board of Governors, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd. Abdul Razak, President of CUCMS, Mr. Kalaiarasu Malayandi, Bursar and other university’s top management.

President visit was in conjunction with the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) 2016 Biennial Conference that was held on 18 to 20 August 2016 in Putrajaya. The Republic of Nauru is part of the Commonwealth and located in the Pacific Ocean, northeast of Australia with a population of 10,000.
