Cyberjaya, 30th November 2016 – Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) recently joined the EXPO PEMUDA 2016 and pledged RM1Mil worth of scholarships for school leavers who are keen to continue their studies in healthcare at Cyberjaya University College. The handover of a mock cheque was done at the closing ceremony of the EXPO PEMUDA 2016 that was held at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.
The scholarships worth RM1mil was ceremonially handed over by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abdul Razak, President of CUCMS and Mr Hasnul Kushairi, CUCMS Registrar to the Deputy Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in presence of Minister for Youth and Sports, Khairy Jamaluddin. Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Minister of Defence, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Umno Wanita chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

EXPO PEMUDA 2016 comprises of four core components namely Affordable Homes, Job Fair, DANA & Skills Training. It targeted over 50,000 Visitors, 100 Exhibitors, Entrepreneurs, Business Leaders, Investors and participation from Government Agencies, Multinational Companies and Government led Companies.
Moving ahead, the university is looking forward to expanding its range of programmes to meet the critical needs of Malaysia’s fast-growing healthcare industry. A new purpose-built campus is also expected to be operational by 2018 which will see the university’s capacity double to over 7,000 students.
