On 31 August 2024, the University of Cyberjaya proudly celebrated Malaysia's National Day by hosting a Special Needs Awareness Run in collaboration with Beacon Life Training Centre. The event aimed to raise awareness and support for children with special needs, bringing together the community in a meaningful celebration of unity and inclusivity.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with a total of 241 participants and 33 dedicated volunteers from the University of Cyberjaya. The day began with an energetic warm-up session, followed by an opening ceremony that set the tone for the day’s activities. At 8:00 AM, the run was officially flagged off, with participants enthusiastically taking to the course.
A highlight of the event was the inspiring performances by special needs children, who captivated the audience with their talent and spirit. Their performances served as a poignant reminder of the importance of inclusivity and support for all members of society.
The success of the event was made possible by the generous support of seven sponsors, whose contributions helped ensure a memorable experience for all involved. The University of Cyberjaya extends its heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, participants, and volunteers for making this National Day celebration truly special.
