UOC Brings Future-Ready Education Perspectives to MasterSoft ELEVATE 2026

University of Cyberjaya’s Director of Learning and Teaching contributes insights on AI, micro-credentials, lifelong learning, and the future of higher education.

The University of Cyberjaya (UOC) further demonstrated its leadership in higher education innovation when Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Enna Ayub, Director of Learning and Teaching at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, was invited to represent the University as a panellist at the prestigious MasterSoft ELEVATE: Higher Education Leadership Summit 2026.

Bringing together higher education leaders and experts, the Summit provided a platform for conversations on how universities can respond to a rapidly changing education landscape shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), Open and Distance Learning (ODL), micro-credentials, lifelong learning and evolving learner needs.

UOC’s participation placed the University within these important sector-wide conversations, sharing perspectives on how higher education can go beyond what graduates know to focus on how they think, apply knowledge, use AI responsibly and exercise sound judgement.

Championing Future-Ready Graduates

During the discussion, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Enna emphasised the importance of preparing graduates who possess not only academic knowledge but also the critical thinking, adaptability, and ethical judgement required to thrive in an AI-driven future.

“The future of higher education is not simply about what our graduates know, but how they think, apply knowledge and exercise sound judgement. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into learning and the workplace, universities have an important role in ensuring graduates are equipped to use these technologies responsibly and effectively.”

Her insights highlighted the increasingly important role universities play in developing graduates who can navigate emerging technologies confidently while making informed and responsible decisions in complex real-world environments.

The Summit also featured a keynote address by Prof. Ts. Dr. M. Iqbal Saripan, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), on building a trusted, resilient and future-ready higher education ecosystem amid emerging technologies, cross-border education and increasingly flexible learning pathways.

UOC’s representation at MasterSoft ELEVATE 2026 reflects its continued commitment to innovative teaching and learning technology and learner-centred education, while contributing its academic perspectives to conversations shaping the wider higher education landscape.
