Dr Ibrahim featured at the International Homeopathic Medical Conference

The Dean of the Faculty of Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr Ibrahim Usman was recently invited as a distinguished speaker at the Sai Ram Smart Homeo Info 2019 in Chennai, India to speak on "Objective Based Education (OBE) in Homeopathy in Malaysia.

In his session, Prof. Dr Ibrahim Usman highlighted the importance of OBE in teaching and learning and its incorporation in the University’s Bachelor in Homeopathic Medical Science (Hons) curriculum. The Bachelor’s programme at the University of Cyberjaya is conducted by a panel of experienced educationists and homoeopaths with a new enhanced curriculum with more emphasis on clinically oriented teaching and learning.

The 2-day international conference in India was attended by 1,300 delegates from all over the world.  The conference focused on providing an innovative global platform, linking different aspects of teaching, technology and research in the field of homoeopathy. It was created especially to allow the exchange of thoughts and knowledge by experts who have worked tirelessly to bring new advancements in the field of complementary medicine.

The University of Cyberjaya was one of the proud co-sponsors of this international conference.

The highlight of the conference was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sai Ram Homeopathy Medical College & Research Centre and the Malaysian Homeopathic Medical Council (MPHM) to allow more positive collaborations.

The Bachelor in Homeopathic Medical Science (Hons) at the University of Cyberjaya is the first programme of its kind in Malaysia. It is fully approved by the Ministry of Education and fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and meets the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the Malaysian Homeopathic Medical Council (MPHM).

The programme is also internationally recognized by the Australian Register of Homeopaths (AROH).
