Today is just the beginning, and we believe that this UoC class of 2023 is poised to be the catalyst for genuinely extraordinary breakthroughs that will shape the future of the country.”

The university also conferred Honorary Professor titles to two distinguished individuals. This year's convocation was particularly significant, with 1,238 graduates crossing the stage to receive their well-deserved degrees. Among the outstanding individuals who graduated this year was Vice Chancellor’s Award recipient Tee Wei Wen, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) graduate, who represented Malaysia in a gymnastics World Championship in Kazakhstan during the convocation ceremony. Despite her absence, she expressed her gratitude via a video message, stating, “I am grateful and thankful for everyone who has helped me through my journey. I have some mixed feelings as I am sad that I am unable to attend my graduation as I am representing Team Malaysia at a World Championship in Kazakhstan. Thanks for giving me this Vice Chancellor's Award.”

The Chancellor’s Award was presented to Muhammad Aqif bin Badrul Hisham from the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme. Mr. Muhammad Aqif stands out as an academic achiever, boasting a remarkable graduating CGPA of 3.97, making him the most excellent student in his batch. His dedication to academic excellence is evident through his consistent recognition on the Dean's List for eight consecutive semesters. Not only has he excelled in his studies, but Aqif has also garnered prestigious awards, such as the Pharmaniaga Book Prize, showcasing his commitment to scholarly pursuits. Beyond academics, Aqif has showcased his knowledge and skills by representing his SCOuT Group in various competitions, both nationally and internationally. His participation in events like the MyPSA National Pharmacy Competition and the International Student Virtual Summer Programme reflects his dedication to expanding his knowledge beyond the classroom.

The Alumni Excellence Award was bestowed upon Issac a/l Danker, a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) graduate from the Class of 2017. Issac, a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist serving with the Ministry of Health, demonstrated commitment to community service during his time at UoC. His leadership roles in professional organisations, including the National Council of the Malaysian Pharmacists Society and the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Association, showcased his dedication to advancing the pharmacy profession. Issac’s commitment to professional development was further demonstrated through his involvement with the International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation.

The university takes immense pride in the distinction of having Tan Siew Duan as its most senior graduate in the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science (Hons) programme. At 68, Tan demonstrated the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Her journey is particularly noteworthy, considering that her 38-year-old son graduated with the same degree from the university last December.

The University of Cyberjaya extends heartfelt congratulations to all 1,238 graduates and honourees. The convocation ceremony symbolises not only the culmination of academic achievements but also the beginning of a new chapter for the graduates and the institution.
