The University of Cyberjaya’s Library & Knowledge Management Centre (UoC Library) was established in 2006 and specializes in the areas of General and Specialized Medicine, Pharmacy, Traditional and Complementary Medicine, Allied Health Sciences and Business. To date, University of Cyberjaya’s Library holds a total collection more than 18,000 physical collection. In addition to printed collection, the University of Cyberjaya’s Library and Knowledge Management Centre also maintains a large collection of electronic journals and databases accessible via the Internet. User of University of Cyberjaya would have the best both worlds when it comes to library and information resources support.

Besides operating at the main campus in Cyberjaya, there are three (3) other Resource Centres located at Sepang, Melaka and Seri Manjung, Perak.

The University of Cyberjaya’s Library and Knowledge Management Centre is using VIRTUA LMS, an integrated library management system provided by VTLS. It is a web-based library system which records all titles in the library. University of Cyberjaya’s Library will become the intellectual centre of the University by fully integrating its services, and unique collections into all aspects of the institution.


The primary mission of the University of Cyberjaya’s Library is to support the curriculum, research, and general information needs of the University of Cyberjaya’s community by providing physical and remote access to printed and electronic resources.

Lost & Damage Item

If an item borrowed by a patron is accidentally lost or damaged, the person will be charged for its replacement cost which consists of the:
  • Current price of the item
  • RM 30.00 of processing fee
  • Any outstanding fines/ over dues
If an inter-library loan material from another library is lost/damaged, the patron will be billed by the lending library according to that library’s policies. Patrons should report lost materials immediately, so that their library privileges are not suspended.

Renewal Service

Item that on loan can be renew by user using Web OPAC as long as there is no one reserved the item. Each renewal extends the due date by the same length of time as user originally borrowed the item. The renewal period starts on the day renewal been made not the original date the item was due.

We recommend user not to wait until the last minute before trying to renew an item in case it can’t be renewed for any reason. User is responsible for any late fees if an item cannot be renewed and is returned late.

You can reserve your book if the item is on loan by others free of charge by;

Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

Can’t find what you want? Try inter-library loan (ILL). ILL service allows user access to material which is not held in the library. ILL is a library service which supports the scholarly research and curriculum needs of current University of Cyberjaya academic staff and students.

This service offered by University of Cyberjaya library and should be used when your needs cannot be met with the University of Cyberjaya library resources. A material received via ILL is by permission of the lending library.

Document Delivery Service (DDS)

DDS provides students, academicians and researchers copies of articles from books, journals and other materials which are not available at the University of Cyberjaya Library. User need to complete the DDS Form and submit the request to the Circulation Counter or via email. All current students, staff, faculty of the University of Cyberjaya can request materials via DDS.

Information Literacy

Information Literacy program or also known as Information Skills Class provided by the University of Cyberjaya Library & Knowledge Management Centre is to give guidance to the user (new user most importantly) in identifying the real information they needed. This service is open for students, staff (academic and non-academic). Through this program, users are taught how to get accurate information from the reliable sources. This is to train user to be effective information seekers.

Library Visit & Tour

Discover more about our collections, services and facilities on a visit and tour of library area. The tour includes briefing from library staff about the library overview. Library visit and tour is on the weekdays only from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm. Library visit and tours will take approximately 30 minutes and advance booking are recommended.

Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

The University of Cyberjaya Library and Knowledge Management Centre is using VIRTUA LMS; an integrated library management system provided by VTLS. Reading Area

The University of Cyberjaya Library has 500 seating capacity where students can use the seating area as their study area.

Thesis Room

There are 2 Thesis Room that may be booked for use during library opening hours. Those who want to use this room must first fill up the Thesis Room Booking Form (available at Circulation Counter) and submit to the Circulation Counter.

Discussion Room

There are 5 Discussion Room available in the library. Booking can be made by completing the Room Reservation Request Form (available at Circulation Counter) and submit to the Circulation Counter. The rooms are given on a first come, first served basis.


Free wireless Internet access is available around University of Cyberjaya’s Library.

An online resource is any information source that the University of Cyberjaya Library provides access in an electronic format. The library has purchased subscriptions to various electronic information resources in order to provide you with access to them free of charge.

It mainly consists of clinical titles, which have linked references from free access to full text of cited articles hosted by HighWire Press.

General Rules

The Library is accessible to all staff, students or members officially registered with University of Cyberjaya (UoC). The use of the library however, is governed by its rules and regulations set forth herewith.

The operating hours of the UoC Library is available on the University Library website and in front of the library entrance.

For the Library to carry out its functions effectively, as well as for the benefit of other Library user, the UoC Library requires all user to comply with the following general rules and regulations:

  1. Display your Student / Staff ID card upon entering the Library.
  2. You must be decently dressed and should conduct yourself properly in the Library
  3. All Library users must observe silence in the Library and its environments at all times.
  4. As seating in the Library is limited, reservation of seat is not permitted. The Library staff may remove books and personal belongings left for any length of time on chairs and table.
  5. The discussion rooms are to be used strictly for group discussions only.
  6. The Librarian on duty has the right to request you to leave the premise if you are found to be violating any of its rules.
  7. An announcement will be made ten minutes prior to closing time and you must vacate the premise punctually.
  8. The Library will not be held responsible for the loss or misplacement of personal belongings.
  9. The Librarian is empowered to withhold the Library facilities if there is any infringement of these rules.
  10. The Management may amend the Library Rules and Regulations as and when necessary.


General Prohibitions

The following items and actions are prohibited in the Library:

  1. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes).
  2. Consumption of food and drinks (except for plain water in a covered bottle).
  3. Playing games or any non-academic related activities
  4. Pets of any kind, living or non-living
  5. Talking excessively loudly, shouting, or chatting noisily with other user or on mobile phones.
  6. Any user who causes disturbance in the Library or who refuses to abide by Library rules may be directed by the Librarian or security personnel to leave the Library.



Roving services is a service where the Librarian moves throughout the Library to locate user who make noise and eat inside the Library. Librarian will do a roving for every floor during peak hours to minimize the noise and also prevent user from eating inside the Library.
