CUCMS researcher wins Silver award at PECIPTA 2015

The 14th International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning (PECIPTA 2015) was held on the 4th – 6th December 2015 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and was hosted by  Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

 

Organised under the theme of “Solution Provider to Industry, Market Driven Product and Commercialization of Idea”, the event featured over 500 innovations in 9 main cluster areas including, Education and Human Development, Art, Design & Creativity, Entrepreneurship & Industrial Management, Agriculture, Aquaculture & Environment, Biotechnology, Life Science & Pure Sciences, Health, Wellness & Wellbeing, Information Communication Technology & Multimedia, Manufacturing Technologies and Disaster Management.

 

CUCMS researcher Dr Mohammad Salleh Bin Abdul Aziz won the Silver Award for the Health, Wellness and Wellbeing cluster for his invention titled; Development Of New Disposable Circumcision Device: Solehring. The invention is a newly created disposable circumcision device that uses surgical suture to tie and compressed the blood vessels and cutting of the skin using surgical scissors.

 

Other CUCMS inventors who participated in PECIPTA ’15 include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hyzan Mohd Yusofwith his project titled “A Framework For Designing, Analysing And Classifying Cementless Femoral Stem For the Malay Population” and Dr Mohd Yusof Baharuddin with his “Malaysian Made Orthopaedic Implants”.

 

The Silver Award further inspires CUCMS researcher to continue their work in improving healthcare and well being in Malaysia.
