Homeopathy is a system of traditional and complementary medicine proposed in 1796 by Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician, based on his doctrine of “like cures like”. It takes a holistic approach to managing health and curing illness with the aid of natural substances.

Accreditation and Recognition

University of Cyberjaya is the first private institution in Malaysia to offer the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science (Hons) programme in Malaysia. Approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), the programme meets the requirements of the Ministry of Health and the Malaysian Homeopathic Medical Council (MPHM).

Designed with an integrated approach towards education and health, this programme is in line with the Ministry of Health’s efforts to gradually integrate Traditional and Complementary Medicine into the government and private healthcare sectors.

Teaching, Assessment and Clinical Training

Teaching is conducted by a panel of experienced educationists and homeopaths. Most lectures are conducted in a modular structure and students are engaged with assignments, examinations, independent learning and laboratory activities. Clinical and industrial training is conducted with a reputable international partner institution.

Study Mode

Full Time

• Full-time course with lecturers, practical, problem-based learning, and clinical sessions conducted on weekdays.
• Clinical exposure at the UoC Homeopathy Centre and local clinics in Malaysia.
• One semester of clinical training with a partner institution in India.

Entry Requirements

All applicants, except those with a degree qualification in art or humanities, must have passed and attained a minimum of the following:

Examinations Requirement
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia – STPM (Science stream) Pass with at least CGPA 2.50
Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia – STPM (Non-Science stream) Pass with at least CGPA 2.50 and credits in 2 Science subjects and Mathematics at SPM level
A-Level Pass CCC (in any 3 sciences subject)
Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia – STAM Pass with at least Grade Jayyid and credits in 2 Science subjects and Mathematics at SPM level
Matriculation / Foundation in Science or T&CM related areas Pass with at least CGPA 2.50
Matriculation / Foundations in other fields Pass with at least CGPA 2.50 and credits in TWO Science subjects and Mathematics at SPM level
Diploma in T&CM related areas / Any Science related Diploma (Level 4, MQF) Pass with at least CGPA 2.50; OR

Pass with CGPA above 2.00 with minimum 2 years of work experience in relevant T&CM or Science related field

Canadian Pre-University / Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) / Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) / South Australian Matriculation (SAM) Pass with minimum 60% points including 2 Science subjects or credits in 2 Science subjects at SPM/O-Level or equivalent
IB (International Baccalaureate) Minimum 28 points in two (2) Science subjects or credit in two science subjects in SPM
English Proficiency for International Students:

Minimum MUET (Band 3) / IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL iBT 40 / equivalent to CEFR High B1

Notes:
The Bachelor’s Degree at UoC is recognised by the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Council, Ministry of Health Malaysia, UoC Senate, and Australian Register of Homoeopaths (AROH).
