On 4th September 2024, the University of Cyberjaya, in collaboration with the Graduate Research School and Faculty of Pharmacy, successfully hosted a Systematic Review Workshop. Held at VIP Room 414, the full-day event ran from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering postgraduate students, academicians, and researchers valuable training in conducting systematic reviews, a key element in producing high-quality academic research.
The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Azmawati Mohammed Nawi, a renowned public health specialist from the Department of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine, UKM. Participants benefited from her deep expertise as she guided them through the fundamentals of systematic reviews, including structure, methodologies, and effective strategies for extracting and analysing data.
The comprehensive agenda covered the importance of systematic reviews, techniques for developing review questions and formulating research strategies, methods for screening and extracting data, and best practices for reporting systematic review findings.
In addition, attendees participated in a Q&A session, which allowed them to address specific challenges they faced in their research and clarify the nuances of systematic review processes.
The workshop attracted a diverse group of participants and was seen as a significant learning opportunity, enhancing their research skills and improving their capacity to contribute to impactful academic publications.
