University of Cyberjaya establishes academic collaboration with
Federation University, Australia

Cyberjaya, 23rd September 2022 – University of Cyberjaya (UoC) has announced an academic collaboration with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between its Faculty of Business and Technology and Federation University, Australia with a focus on enhancing the Business and Information Technology related academic programmes in the near future.

Federation University is Australia’s most progressive regional university with campuses located in Ballarat, Berwick, Brisbane, the Wimmera and Gippsland regions. The university strives to transform lives and enhance communities through education and training.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abd Razak, University of Cyberjaya’s Vice Chancellor, Carolyn Chong, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Global and Engagement of Federation University and witnessed by Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R. Palan, Pro Chancellor of University of Cyberjaya, as well as Associate Professor Jason Giri, Dean of the Global Professional School, Federation University.

“We like to partner with international universities because we want to learn from the developed world for the benefit of our students. Working with more institutions means being able to provide students with a diverse range of skills and knowledge in various contexts,” said Emeritus Professor Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abd Razak, University of Cyberjaya.

With this MoU, University of Cyberjaya and Federation University agree to have multiple student and staff exchange programmes, study tours and co-research partnerships to conduct joint conferences, colloquiums and more.

This partnership hopes to enhance University of Cyberjaya’s CIMA accredited MBA programme which features two specialisms – Digital Marketing and Digital Business. The Digital Marketing specialism educates students on Data Ethics and Information Management, New Age Start-ups, Transformation and Leadership in the New Age while the Digital Business focuses on courses such as E-Commerce Analytics, Data-Driven Business, Strategic Digital Marketing and more.

The UoC-Federation University partnership is also looking towards an academic collaboration for other programmes such as public health, psychology, research-based and more.

Among others who attended the ceremony were Professor Dato’ Dr. Shaharuddin, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Student Experiences and Global Engagement, Professor Dr. Mudiarasan Kuppusamy, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology, Dr. Hassan Basri, Director of the Centre for Collaborative Programme, and Adjunct Associate Professor A. Subra, Director of SMR HR Group Sdn. Bhd., together with Jessica Morales-Morin, Project Manager of Federation University’s Global Professional School.

University of Cyberjaya continues to enrich its programmes by working closely with market players and leading knowledge creators across the country and around the world.
