In a recent triumph, two of our students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Cyberjaya have clinched prestigious prizes at the 7th MyPSA National Pharmacy Research Competition (NPRC) 2024, held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, KL campus.
Shahrul Ikhwan bin Muhamad Najmuddin emerged as the Winner in Category A, focusing on Pharmacy Education, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacovigilance & Pharmacoeconomics, and Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacometrics. Shahrul Ikhwan presented his final year research project entitled "A Study on the Effectiveness of Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) in the Teaching-Learning of Anatomy Practical amongst First Year Bachelor of Pharmacy Students in University of Cyberjaya," under the supervision of Masro Mohamad, lecturer from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Another standout student, Yuen Suet Yee, has also become the Winner in Category B, focusing on Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, and Pharmacology. Yuen Suet Yee presented her final year research project titled "Development and Characterization of Arabinoxylan/Acrylic Acid Hydrogel Synthesized via Electron Beam Irradiation for Controlled Drug Delivery System," supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Najwa Mohamad.
Additionally, Shahrul Ikhwan was recognised as the Overall Best Presenter in the main competition.
