This programme offers postgraduate training by research in specialised areas of medical sciences which includes: Pharmacological Sciences, Cardiovascular Sciences, Physiological Sciences, Behavioural Sciences, Microbiological Sciences, Public Health, Disaster and Emergency Medicine, Occupational and Environmental Sciences and Medical Education.
The programme requires candidates to conduct detailed study and evaluation of an approved research topic and the presentation of a dissertation. It will be the subject of an oral examination, in which candidates will be display critical thought, defense of their dissertation and outcome in the selected topic.
This programme aims to produce more research scientist who will contribute to advancement in the knowledge and practice of medical sciences.

Requirement |
Candidates must first complete their Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent; OR A Bachelor’s degree candidate in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and less than 2.75 may be admited upon internal assessment; OR A Bachelor’s degree candidate in a relevant field with a CGPA less than 2.50, but with a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience may be admitted; OR Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government |
Foreign Students’ English Language Proficiency: Minimum TOEFL score of 550 or 80 (Internet), or IELTS score of Band 6.0 |
