This programme provides deeper knowledge on Occupational Safety and Health in an effort to protect workers from hazards at the workplace. You will explore a variety of subjects related to this field such as safety & health regulations, construction safety, industrial hygiene, OSH risk management, emergency response plan and accident investigation among others.
The programme will provide you with a range of theoretical and practical skills to enable you to practice across a range of industries and environments.
As an OSH expert you will be responsible for outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards, carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislations.
In certain organizatiosn you will also be tasked with preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policies as well as leading in-house training on safety and health issues and risks.
The curriculum is based on sound foundations as stated in the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) with a syllabus that focuses on specific aspects of occupational health and safety management. With this degree in hand, employment in the OSH field becomes more promising due to the shortage of OSH experts especially in the manufacturing, construction, oil and gas industries.

Entry Requirements

Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) / A-Level / Foundation / Matriculation / Pre-University | Pass STPM or A-Level with at least a GPA 2.33 (D in A-Levels) in 2 of the following subjects;
Biology Physics / Mathematics Chemistry |
Diploma from a related field of study from CUCMS or any other Higher Education Provider | With a minimum CGPA of 2.75;
Or less than 2.75 but above 2.00 with 3 years working experience in related field |
