About the Speaker
The lecture will be featuring Kolonel (K) Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Hj. Mohd Shukor bin Hj. Mahfar, Chief Executive officer/ Director General of Inland Revenue Board. Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr. Mohd Shukor Hj. Mahfar is a well-known figure in the field of tax administration with extensive experience in tax matters. He led IRBM into achieving the highest direct tax collection figure in the history of the nation, amounting to RM 109.67 billion in 2011 and continued with RM 124.99 billion in 2012, RM 128.91 billion in 2013, RM 133.69 billion in 2014, and RM 121.19 billion in 2015.
His excellent leadership has resulted in various recognition locally and internationally. Among others, Special Class Award: Innovative Personality of The Year 2012, Lifetime Achievement Award 2013 and Visionary Leader of The Year 2014, by McMillan Woods Global, Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 by The Leaders International and American Leaderships Development Association (ALDA) and Public CEO of The Year Asia 2015 by The European Emerging Market Awards 2015.

Tan Sri Dr. Shukor will speak on the topic of “Driven By Vision - Fuelled by Creativity & Innovation, A Case Study of IRBM”. The lecture highlights on the creativity and innovation initiatives that all organization should implement in their operations. It draws learning points from initiatives that the Inland Revenue Board has implemented and its positive impact to all Malaysians.
